Congratulations to the Sacred Heart Preparatory girls' volleyball team for cinching the Central Coast Section girls' volleyball Division IV Title. The win positions the team as the lead going into the NorCal Championships.

Community Alert: Swine Flu

Dear Sacred Heart Schools Community,

In light of the concerns about the recent outbreak of the swine flu, this is to inform you that we take seriously the health and safety of the entire Sacred Heart Schools (SHS) community. As such, we are monitoring information as it’s released by federal, state, and local health agencies. At this time, there is no cause for alarm. If necessary, SHS is prepared to deal with the possible outbreak of any type of flu that may reach pandemic proportions.

In the event of a widespread outbreak, families will be notified via email and the school’s Outreach/ Emergency Notification phone system as to what action you should take. In addition, detailed information will be provided on the home page of the school’s website. In the meantime, if you would like to familiarize yourself with information about the swine flu, we have compiled a list of frequently asked questions or you can go to www.cdc.gov.

While we are talking with your children about how we can all help prevent the spread of this particular flu, and any other illnesses, we encourage you to help us by reinforcing the same measures at home. Help us keep our community healthy and safe by keeping your child(ren) home when ill, particularly with a fever, and notify us immediately if anyone in your immediate family is diagnosed with swine flu.

Favor de notar: Es nuestra práctica enviar a estudiantes a casa cuando ellos no se sienten bien, pero somos especialmente diligentes en este asunto ahora a la luz del estillamiento reciente de gripe. Si cualquier estudiante no parece estar bien, a pesar de los síntomas, nosotros los enviaremos a casa.
